Your data

What we store
From Discord (sign-in, scope "identify" only): account id, username, display name, avatar link, account creation date. We do not receive your e-mail or password and do not keep Discord tokens.
Sign-in sessions: only a hash of a random token from your browser cookie.
What you enter yourself: character profile, "About me" in your player profile, lots (selling and buying), messages, likes, reports, an appeal against a market restriction, the date you accepted the rules.
The server log: IP address and time of requests and sign-ins (protection against attacks).
How long
Session: 7 days without visits, at most 30 days after signing in via Discord.
Listed lot: 24 hours, then expired (can be listed again). Draft without changes: deleted after 14 days. Closed lot: visible 30 days; it is deleted from the database 90 days after it was closed, together with its chats. A hidden lot that has not been restored for 180 days is deleted.
"About me" and likes: until you change them or delete the account. A report about a player is active 30 days (after that you can report the same player again); its snapshot is kept 180 days, like other reports. The report itself (reason, text, who reported) is kept 180 days. Any report you file — about a lot, a message or a player — is kept that long; and if the player you reported has an active ban or closed access to the Players' Market — for as long as it lasts and 30 more days. A restriction of access to the Players' Market and the appeal against it are kept 2 years after the restriction ends (a permanent one — while it lasts), like the moderator action log.
Chats: deleted 90 days after the lot is closed. Report snapshots: 180 days. Moderator action log: 2 years. Sales marked by sellers (item, quantity, price, city, time — without the seller's or buyer's name): kept for market statistics without a time limit. Instead of the seller each sale carries an irreversible fingerprint: without the server's secret key it cannot be turned back into an account, and the site uses it only for counting: it only shows that several sales came from one seller, so one person cannot distort the statistics. When the account is deleted, the fingerprint is replaced with a random one and no longer leads to the account.
Backups: on the server every 6 hours, the last 14 (about 3.5 days); an encrypted copy in cloud storage is deleted after 30 days. So anything deleted on schedule stays in backups for up to 30 more days.
Server log: kept for a limited time set in the server settings.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account on the “My account” page. Sessions and the Discord link are deleted at once, drafts are deleted, listed lots are closed, your name becomes "deleted user", your messages become "message deleted", "About me" and likes (yours and given to you) are deleted, the texts of your reports and of your appeal are erased (snapshots of reported content — see "Reports and moderation"). Site data saved in this browser (character, trip, recent items) is cleared on this device too; the interface language stays.
Backups with the old data disappear within 30 days. Signing in via Discord again creates a new empty account (except during a ban or while access to the Players' Market is closed — see "Reports and moderation").
Reports and moderation
When players report a lot, a message or a player (their "About me"), or a moderator acts on it (hides it, bans its author), the site keeps a snapshot of it: the text, the items and prices, the author's name. Only moderators see snapshots. They are kept 180 days — also after the author deletes the account: then the name in the snapshot becomes "deleted user No. N" (a short internal number), the text stays. Snapshots of objects nobody reported are anonymised like everything else.
Reports and snapshots about a player with an active ban or with closed access to the Players' Market are kept for as long as it lasts (for a permanent one — without a time limit) and 30 more days after it ends, even if that is longer than 180 days. After the account is deleted the usual 180 days apply. Reports a moderator has not handled are deleted on the same terms.
If an account with an active ban or with open reports or hidden lots/messages is deleted, we keep an irreversible fingerprint of its Discord id (a keyed hash; the id itself cannot be recovered from it): until the ban ends (forever for a permanent ban), or 180 days for open reports. Signing in with the same Discord during a ban shows "access closed"; after reports, a new account is created and moderators see that it belongs to a previously deleted account with reports.
If an account is deleted while its access to the Players' Market is closed, we keep the same kind of fingerprint until the restriction ends (forever for a permanent one). When you sign in with the same Discord, the new account gets the restriction until the same date, the fingerprint is deleted, and moderators see that the restriction was carried over from a previously deleted account. The fingerprint is kept together with a note that the right to appeal is gone: deleting the account while access to the market is closed means giving up the appeal, and the new account cannot appeal.
If a moderator finds reports unfounded, the site may for a while stop taking this player's reports into account in its own decisions. The note about this (whose reports, about which player, until when) is visible only to moderators and is kept 180 days after the period ends. Records of how reports about a player were handled, including a restriction of market access that was being prepared but did not take effect, are kept as long as the restriction itself — 2 years.
If an account is deleted while its reports are temporarily not taken into account, we keep the same kind of fingerprint until that period ends.
The moderator action log (who did what and when) is kept 2 years. A record of a ban or of closing access to the Players' Market is kept for as long as that ban or restriction lasts (also after the account is deleted — while the fingerprint is kept), even if that is longer.
